Former Entercom Communications executive VP and chief financial officer, Steve Fisher, has been given the “Distinguished CFO Award” from the Media Financial Management Association (MFM). Fisher received the award, which recognizes a CFO who has made outstanding contributions to the media industry, at Media Finance Focus 2017 in Orlando.
“Entercom has grown dramatically over the past several years and Steve has played a significant role in its success,” Sam Bush, senior VP & CFO of Saga Communications and a past chair of MFM’s board of directors, said.
Fisher served as executive VP/CFO of Entercom from Nov. 1998 until his retirement last month. He joined the company from a private equity fund in Philadelphia, where he was managing director. He’d previously held a number of broadcasting operational and financial management positions over 15 years at CBS predecessor Westinghouse Broadcasting, including VP and general manager of its radio properties and cable TV systems in Los Angeles and as executive VP of development for the Media Group, based in New York.
